K-5 Artists keep a portfolio of their art work all year - a collection of T.O.O.L. Time and J.A.M. pieces.

What's T.O.O.L. Time? T.O.O.L. Time stands for Theme Of Our Learning. This means that you will study and make art based on one idea this year, so you will have plenty of time to learn all about that one big idea. From August-December, I will teach really cool lessons related to your theme and then you use the skills and knowledge you have learned in your art. Then, get ready because from January-May we J.A.M. and that's when you can also use your T.O.O.L. Time skills to make art on your own!

I have been teaching fine arts to children for over 25 years and loving it!!! I have taught all over the country and abroad. In Colorado Springs, I owned Studio 101, a fine arts school for children (ages 3-18) for 17 years and sold my school to teach at Scott Elementary 6 years ago. My goal was to take was I had the honor of teaching privately, at Studio 101, and provide the same quality and intensity of learning and fun to the public sector. From T.O.O.L. Time to J.A.M.ing, your artists dive into every lesson with enthusiasm, focus and a respect for what opportunities are in front of them! That response alone has been awesome to experience!

Outside of school, I love any moment I get with my family, visiting the beach and just enjoying this beautiful space in which we live.

I love, love, love teaching and Scott and creating with your children! I am truly  blessed to work in such an such an loving and supportive community!!!
